The artist's sketchbook is a journey and exploration of the world around us. The 2010 calendar is packed with images of these artistic explorations, and this year the theme revolves around reptiles and their cousins the amphibians. While I've always been attracted to the intense colors, graceful forms, and amazing diversity of these creatures, it wasn't until I welcomed an iguana into my life that I began to really appreciate the strong personalities of these creatures. An intense curiosity, the satisfaction of a nap in the sun, and the zest for a life lived well and proudly is something that we all can connect to.
